The State Duma oppresses gaming halls
The draft on state regulation of gaming business was admitted in it’s first reading by the deputies of the State Duma.
If the document gets over the further readings so successfully, it will be possible to obtain a license on a “gaming” kind of activity only for businessmen gaining assets on not less then 600 million of rubles. The draft implements a quota on quantity of gaming halls. There must be one gaming hall on 200 thousand of citizens ( nowadays there are more then 6 thousand of gaming licenses, about 350 thousand of slot machines and about 5 thousands of gaming tables in the country). “One-armed bandits” are to be driven away from houses, metro stations, railway stations, airports, shops and bus stops. According to the draft the area of casino premises must be not less then 800 square meters, and there must be not less then 10 gaming tables. As to of slot machines, there their area must be more then 100 square meters, to settle not less then 20 “ one-armed bandits” there. Moreover the draft implements the standard according to which the average percent of money prize of every slot machine can be not lower then 80%.
