Appeal to Elders
I am sincerely glad to greet you in our Club of Gaming Industry Elders.
This Club-is an unusual institution. It has no fixed address, room, charter and membership cards. But it exists, and as we hope, it will live and develop. All it's members, doesn't matter what they do now, are united by common past-all of them have been working in the gaming industry for 10 years and are founders of Russian Industry of a Game.
We all came when this industry was springing up. When there were no legislative gaming rules, when domestic manufactures of gaming equipment were getting on their feet and new qualitative standards of the field, by which all Russian gaming industry works now, were introduced.
An idea to create such Club «had been» in the air for a long time. Communicating with friends, colleagues I quite often heard complains that in daily routine and concerns, we were forgetting our glorious past. Time is flying rapidly, it is gliding. In a little period of time Russian gaming industry will celebrate it's twentieth anniversary. Every day, month, year some dates, names, details, events- all those thing that we thought to keep in our memory forever, are being forgotten. Besides, reading newspapers now, we often see how our past is being modified there voluntarily or not.
It is significant that every one of you, dear Elders, made his own contribution in formation of this industry, created necessary potential, that promoted development of our Domestic gaming industry. It is very important that you work with young people now, imparting invaluable professional experience to them. Send your memorials, photos and other materials to our club. We will publish them on the site and we hope that in future they will become a basic of a large work about history of development of the gaming industry in USSR and Russia where every member of the club will have his honorary place. Who but us can tell people truth about gaming industry in Russia of ninetieth.
We shall honor all Elders of Gaming Industry which live and work in Russia, we`ll meet, remember our past and share our thoughts about it's future perspectives.
Truly Yours.
President of ADIB (Gaming Business Association)
