Gaming Business Association asks everybody concerned with maintaining of civilized gaming business in Russia for cooperation

Clearly Focused on the Future – 2nd Balkan Entertainment & Gaming Expo

With new opportunities emerging and new rules and regulations raising the bar, the Gaming industry landscape is changing constantly. In the midst of all the turmoil, for the 2nd year two events, Balkan Entertainment & Gaming Expo /BEGE/ and Eastern European Gaming Summit /EEGS/, continue to give the gaming world a clear and unrivalled insight in new developments and opportunities in the Eastern European and the South-Eastern gaming markets.

BEGE Expo & EEGS will be held on 5 - 7 October 2009 at Inter Expo & Congress Center in Sofia, Bulgaria.

This year Balkan Entertainment & Gaming Expo will present 2600 sq. meters of trade show area with almost 40 exhibiting companies, showing their latest products and developments, with an aim to renew or to strike their roots in the region. This will ensure a one-stop-shop access for each visitor with the opportunity to meet with leading manufacturers, compare products and source solutions.

Parallel to be held is Eastern European Gaming Summit /EEGS/ as a unique opportunity for the industry to spend 3 days of high-powered networking possibilities, informative presentations and discussion panels, meeting experts and professionals who have fuelled the enormous growth in the gaming and entertainment industry in the recent years.

5th & 6th October are dedicated to presentations defining the presence and the future of the gaming industry drawing the full picture from the different angles on behalf of Regulators and Associations from the South Eastern Europe, Operators in the region, Consultants, Gaming and Technology Suppliers, Researchers. The speakers will feature some of the most prominent persons in the gaming industry today, including Annete Kok, President and Helmut Kafka, Vice-President, European Gaming and Amusement Federation /EUROMAT/, Signe Birne, Chairman, Gaming Regulators European Forum /GREF/, senior representatives of International Association of Gaming Regulators /IAGR/ and International Masters of the Gaming Law /IMGL/, Michael Boettcher, President, Storm International, Tzvetan Konyarski, Expert Social Aspects of Gaming, BTAMOGI, Joseph Lema, Assistant Professor, Hospitality management, Drexel University, Rene Lindsen, CEO, Swiss Gaming Corporation and many others. Mike Wallace, Executive, International Casino Monitoring will be presenting a half-day workshop session, developing new marketing strategies, contributing to dramatic increase of the revenues in the gaming operations.

Important part of the Summit is to present and promote South Eastern Region and Eastern Europe as an attractive tourist and investment destination. Lecturers from the Tourism sector includes Polly Karastoyanova, Executive Director of Bulgarian National Tourism Board, Rumen Draganov, General Manager of the Institute for Analysis and Assessment in Tourism, Thomas Tait, President and CEO of Nevada Tourism Alliance, Henning Krippendorff, External Associate, Horwath HTL, hotel operators in the region and other presenters.

The exclusive EEGS Masterclass on 7th October, which is a 1-Day Training Program with an in-depth analysis and a case study on “HOW TO OPTIMIZE THE LAYOUT & SLOT MIX IN YOUR CASINO?” is dedicated to slot managers willing to explore in more details important features of the planning process in the casino. EEGS Masterclass is held in partnership with Slot Academy and everyone successfully completing the class will receive EEGS Masterclass certificate.

Both BEGE and EEGS are initiatives of the Bulgarian Trade Association of the Manufacturers and Operators in the Gaming Industry /BTAMOGI/, which is the main representative organization for the companies producing gaming equipment or operating gaming facilities in Bulgaria. For the second year the honored patron of the events is Bulgarian State Commission on Gambling. Partner of EEGS is Spectrum Gaming Group – the world’s foremost gaming research and professional services firm, covering services of the gaming industry, from research to regulation.
