S. Shatalov: The project of setting up gaming zones in RF has not succeeded yet
The gaming zones to be set up in the RF for “evicting” casinos from the cities are not ready to accommodate the business by the deadline of July 1st, said Sergey Shatalov, the State Secretary – Vice Minister of Finance, at the press conference on Wednesday. “The project has not succeeded yet,” stated Shatalov, adding that “it is connected with the crisis and other circumstances.”
“For instance, in the Far East and Kaliningrad region the local authorities have not determined yet where the zones are to be situated,” said the Vice Minister.
The closure of casinos outside gaming zones will cause budgets of Russian regions to lose 5-6 billion rubles annually, remarked Shatalov.
