A gaming zone is being constructed only in Kuban so far
At present they are still building infrastructure facilities (the construction started in August 2008) within the territory of the gaming zone`s first stage. 500 million rubles were allotted from the regional budget for this purpose. By March Azov City will have had water, electricity and gas connections, and by April country roads will have been turned into full-fledged streets and highways.
“Krasnodar region will fulfill its commitments, and the infrastructure within Azov City`s first stage territory will have been created by July 1st, just as it is prescribed by the law. Many land plots already have their owners, and further action is up to investors,” remarked Kuban`s vice governor A. Agafonov.
“The investors can embark on construction works right away as the most necessary things for construction to begin have already been arranged. In the developed part of Azov City 15 land plots of 21 have already been leased; however, the construction has been started by 2 investors only,” said Oleg Buzunov, the director of “Azov City Krasnodar Directorate” OJSC, which is dealing with the development of the infrastructure.
There are some other problems to be solved, and the most essential one is the need in coast reclamation. The issues with the investors are still to be regulated, too, as the investors, despite the conditions created for them, are not that committed to start the construction.
