HMAD planning to set maximum gambling tax rates as of 2009
The Government of Hanty-Mansi autonomous district at its session on Friday decided to increase tax rates for some gambling units to the maximum as of January 1st, 2009.
As it was reported at the government session by the Director of Economic Policy Department Lyubov Semeshko, during the year 2007 and 3 months of 2008 the number of slot machines reduced 2.3 times. At the same time, there are no bookmakers and totes in HMAD currently.
The authorities of the region decided that it is necessary to increase the tax rate per gaming table from the current 50 thousand rubles per month to 125 thousand rubles, and the tax rate per tote or bookmaker from the current 75 thousand rubles to 125 thousand rubles.
