V.Vinogradov: number of Moscow gambling facilities decreased from 2.7 thousand to 600 within 2 years
The number of gambling facilities in Moscow has reduced from 2.7 thousand to 600 within the last two years, as it was reported to journalists by Valeriy Vinogradov, Vice Mayor of Moscow. According to him, about a thousand closed facilities have been converted – over 80% slot halls were replaced with shops.
According to V. Vinogradov, over 95% venues where gambling facilities are currently located are private. “Most owners are going to turn gambling facilities into consumer market facilities but we should look at a wider scope of their application including the use for social purposes,” he said.
V. Vinogradov stated that in early April the inspection of gambling facilities checking their compliance with the gambling law will be completed, as reported by the ITAR TASS.
