Moscow Interdepartmental Gambling Committee trying to word rules for forced elimination of gambling facilities
After time-consuming discussions the members of Interdepartmental Gambling Committee of the Moscow government managed to clearly word an only clarification to the federal law: within 10 days since a gambling facility terminates its operations, its founders shall disassemble the gaming equipment and take it away. Otherwise, the developers of the amendments emphasize, the equipment may be disassembled and taken away by an agency authorized to terminate operations of gambling facilities.
However, there is a discrepancy with regards to the law enforcement agency which unscrupulous owners of gambling facilities are threatened with: it has turned out that there is a definition of an “authorized agency” but in fact such a chief officer has not been officially assigned. Prefectures have the right of control only: checking documents and locations of gambling facilities. At present some of the Committee members offer tax agencies as a candidate for this role, but without their agreement they could hardly be assigned, the “Russian Gazeta” reports.
