125 thousand rubles gambling tax per table
The deputies of Chita Regional Duma made the relevant amendments to the law in the second reading yesterday. According to the press service of the regional parliament, while the issue was discussed, Boris Samoylov and Oleg Kurenkov submitted their proposals. The former proposed to reduce the tax rate for gaming tables, and the latter – to suspend the law effect till April 1st, 2008. However, their position was not appreciated by most parliament members.
From January 1st, 2008, the tax rate will be 125 thousand rubles per table, 7.5 thousand rubles per slot machine, 125 thousand rubles per totalizator or bookmaker cash desk. Be reminded: in the previous edition of the law these tax rates were correspondingly 50, 4.5 and 75 thousand rubles.
As of October 1st, 2007, there are 3 casinos, 31 slot locations, 1952 slot machines operating in Chita region. The law setting maximum gambling tax rates was authored by Stepan Zhiryakov, Chairman of Economic Policy Committee.
