Casino for Russians to be built in Estonia
Navesko Company, which bought a half-destroyed venue of Kursaal from the Estonian town of Narva-Joesuu early in 2006, intends to open an elite casino there targeted at Russian customers.
A member of Navesko Board, Tynis Seesmaa said that the Russian government`s policy of “evicting” gaming business out of the large cities in the country could be an advantage for the development of this Estonian resort town bordering Russia.
Apart from the casino which will occupy the first floor only, the renovated Kursaal will include an elite restaurant, an outdoor café and a hotel which, due to its architectural heritage, Seesmaa believes, can claim for five stars. The overall amount of Navesko`s estimated investments in the half-destroyed venue of Kursaal is about 500 million crowns (about $4.5 million).
