The first International Conference „GAMING in LITHUANIA - legal system, business development and perspectives“
Herewith I would like to inform you that on the 20 of September the first International Conference „GAMING IN LITHUANIA - legal system, business development and perspectives“organized by the State Gaming Control Commission was held in Vilnius, Lithuania.
97 guests and speakers from the state institutions of the Republic of Lithuania and from foreign countries (Signe Birne, Chairman of Lotteries and gaming Supervision Inspectorate, Republic of Latvia, Member of the Board of GREF Vice-president of the Association of Russian Gaming Operators Mr. E.Kovtun, Peter Cercone, General Manager of GLI Europe BV), representatives of all gaming operators and of gaming associations have participated at the Conference.
There was spoken on gaming business development in Lithuania, Legislation of organizing and supervision of gaming business, order of taxation reviewing present situation and future perspectives, illegal gaming issues, legal system of gaming business in Lithuania, taxation of gaming, casinos in Lithuania - present situation and perspectives, beting sectors‘ problems and putting towards reduced taxation zones, gaming and lotteries - problems of assimilation and different legislation, pathologic players - situation in Lithuania, models and problems of regulation of gaming business of the European States, specifics of organizing gaming business and taxation - experience of foreign states, new gaming technologies and application possibilities.
Similar conferences will be held in the future to analyze particular problems of gaming sector more detailed.
