Cooperation

Gaming Business Association asks everybody concerned with maintaining of civilized gaming business in Russia for cooperation

Orel gambles` money are now flowing abroad

From July the 1st, all casinos and slot halls have been closed at once in Orel and nearby areas. However, the people are smarter than that. Players of Chernozemye were fast to find out that not very far, across the Ukrainian border, the gaming business is in its full force.

The new gaming tourism is only one month old, but already growing with impressive rate. The evidence to which are new gaming locations opening in Ukrainian villages along Russian border.

According to one of Glukhov citizens in Chernigovskaya area, 15 km away from Russian border, the local gaming halls are already packed. It was only 2-3 months ago when owner of gaming locations were hardly breaking even, now the situation has changed dramatically.

The only hotel in the city is overfilled with citizens of Kurskaya and Orlovskaya areas. There are twice as more cars with Russian number boards than with the Ukrainian ones.

Similar situation can be seen in other cities of Chernigovskaya and Sumskaya areas.

Right now gaming tourism is in its infancy, but it is already obvious that the idea of creating 4 gaming zones and banning gaming in other areas is a total failure.

Indeed, why would a player from Orel go a long way to Rostov-na-Donu or Kalinigrad, if it only takes 3 hours to get to the Ukraininan border?
