Capital city gambling facilities to have been checked by October 1st
According to the spokesperson to the agency, Moscow Mayor instructed to set up a special working group headed by Vladimir Shukshin, deputy head of Mayor and Government`s machinery.
“The working group includes 15 people, among them there are 10 capital city prefects, deputy head of Property Department Vladimir Belov, deputy head of Central Administration of Internal Affairs Alexander Melnikov, deputy head of Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights in Moscow Victor Glinenko, deputy head of Emergency Situations in Moscow Sergey Anikeev and deputy head of Drug Control in Moscow Dmitry Fyodorov”, they told the “Interfax” in the city administration.
They added that the commission does not include Deputy Mayor in Moscow Government Valeriy Vinogradov who, due to the government restructuring, was assigned responsible for tourism and gambling in the capital city.
“Gambling facilities will be checked for compliance with the federal and city legislation”, said the spokesman to the agency. "There will be individual proposals for each casino and slot hall with regards to their further operation or the required closure. First Deputy Mayor in Moscow Government Victor Korobchenko was assigned responsible for completion of Y. Luzhkov`s instruction”. .
As it was previously announced, as of July 1st, 2007, there were 497 gambling facilities in the capital city.
