“White Casinos” List
"The list has been published in Moscow Government official gazette – the “Tverskaya, 13” newspaper; it can be seen at the Internet portal of the government external links complex moskvaimir.mos.ru in the section of the external economic affairs committee; it has been sent to all prefectures, Main Department of Internal Affairs, Federal Tax Service, Public Prosecutor’s Office”, said Orjonikidze in his interview to “Interfax”.
The Moscow official reminded everyone that since 2007 Federal Law “On state regulation of gambling and betting” has been effective in the RF, and on July 1st the implementation of the first part of the law was completed – it let businessmen make the gambling facilities they owned to make them compliant with the legal requirements related to the area, equipment and location. “In other words, businessmen had six months to duly file the necessary documents and to finalize equipping their venues pursuant to the new requirements”, he remarked.
According to Orjonikidze, there were 910 gambling facilities in Moscow as of July 1st. The so-called “white gambling list” includes 497 gambling facilities, by two of the three parameters complying with the legal requirements – both federal and Moscow ones. “Right now I can announce that among the ones closing there quite well-known casinos of “Chatillion”, “Corus”, “Technopolis”, “Desperado”, “Zolotaya Podkova”, “Kutuzov”, “Megapolis” and others. The number of gambling facilities significantly reduced in the centre of the city. The work is well-done in South-East and Zelenograd districts of the capital city”, stated the Chairman of Gambling Committee.
