Kuban deputies approved agreement of Southern gaming zone management procedure
On July 11th, at the session of Krasnodar region Legislative Assembly, they passed the law determining the agreement on the Southern gaming zone management procedure. “A similar law has been passed by deputies of Rostov parliament,” the UGA.ru portal was informed in the press service of the regional Projects and Investments Department. In particular, the agreement determines the borders of the gaming zone (2 thousand hectares) and assigns gaming zone management bodies. A special coordination board including representatives of the regional legislative and executive powers will provide interaction of the management bodies.
"The agreement also specifies that Krasnodar region and Rostov region will invest funds in the development of the region on a par with each other. The regional administrations sent the application for creation of the gaming zone, relevant documents attached, which had been agreed with the Ministry of Regional Development and the RF Ministry of Internal Affairs, to the RF Ministry of Finance", added the speaker.
He remarked that the creation of Southern gaming zone would mainly contribute to attracting investments to the economics of Kuban. “Besides, Krasnodar region will get a real possibility to develop the south-eastern area. The gaming zone is not only gambling facilities and hotels. It is transport, engineering and social infrastructures as well as various complexes of sports and resort designation”, emphasized the press-service representatives.
According to preliminary estimates, the aggregate amount of investments of Krasnodar and Rostov regional budgets, municipal bodies of the territories in the implementation of Southern gaming zone project throughout the whole period will be about 67 billion rubles. It is also planned to involve about 350 billion rubles of private investments in the construction of the gaming zone facilities.
The territory adjacent to the gaming zone is expected to be developed as recreational, using the favourable location and resort potential of Taganrog Bay. In the long-term there will be a new resort area on the Azov coast, and the gaming zone will become a part of it.
