Cooperation

Gaming Business Association asks everybody concerned with maintaining of civilized gaming business in Russia for cooperation

Their own “Tat Vegas” appeared in Kamskiye Polyany

The head of the town Igor Privalov has succeeded in his efforts to persuade gambling operators to come to Kamskiye Polyany (Tatarstan): two gaming clubs and a casino are operatating on the grounds of Kamskiye Polyany. And, according to the head of the town, the first to come were those who had more doubts than the rest and who said it was impossible. Now five buildings are being reconstructed. It is expected that there will be seven gaming companies to “boss” in Kamskiye Polyany.

Guests are still few, but at the weekend fortune-seekers come from even as far as Bashkiria. And there are regular guests from Nizhnekamsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Yelabuga, Kamskiye Polyany, Tchistopol and other cities and towns.

It is remarkable that since gaming business appeared in the town the cost of flats there has dramatically risen. If a year ago a square metre of lodgings cost about 4-5 thousand rubles, now it costs about 17 thousand rubles.

Right now the operating staff of Kamskiye Polyany gambling facilities are “veterans” whom the gambling operators have brought with them from various cities and towns where there used to be chains of casinos and gaming clubs. The businessmen are not in a hurry to employ local residents despite the string desire of the latter to work in the gambling facilities. Only 11 people are being currently trained. In future the gambling operators are planning to hire staff among local residents: they will need not only operating personnel in gaming halls and casinos but also staff for hotels and restaurants.

The gambling operators would like Kamskiye Polyany to become the fifth gaming zone. “We`ll do our best to achieve it. We are expecting support from authorities. We have made concessions to them meeting all the requirements. It provides big earnings not only for us but also for the republic and for the town. We are paying huge taxes. 125 thousand rubles per gaming table, 7.5 thousand rubles per slot machine, 75 thousand rubles per one totalizator or bookmaker`s till. If all goes well, Kamskiye Polyany will be thriving as they once were”, believe the gambling operators.
