Potential investors in Altay gaming zone prefer to stay in shadow by far
Potential investors in the gaming zone within Altay region do exist but they would like their participation in the project to be indicated after the zone is officially acknowledged by the residents. Therefore local authorities can not announce them by far. This was reported by the head of the Central Administration of Economics and Investments, Vice-Governor Michail Shchetinin during the Internet-conference at the official website of the region.
According to him, full-fledged commencement of works to create the gaming zone needs eight statements of the RF Government to emerge. At present, together with the Ministry of Finance, complete development has been given to the statement on the procedure of creating and liquidating gaming zones. Among the remaining seven there is a statement on creating a gaming zone within Altay region, which shall provide for its borderlines.
"The Central Administration of Economics and Investments has prepared all the required documents with regards to it. The word “honey” will not make your mouth sweet. The process of making a gaming zone is complicated and many-sided. We are working with the Ministry of Economic Development to look into allocation of funds for developing the general plan of gaming zones,” emphasized Shchetinin.
Meanwhile, as the IA REGNUM previously informed, the vice-president of Gambling Operators Association Evgeniy Kovtun believes that there are no persons willing to invest in Altay region by far. “The projects are too costly from the very origin. Today there is nothing: no roads, no water, no electricity, no gas… Certainly, no one is going to invest hefty funds, and amounts may start from several hundreds million dollars, without serious economic calculations and guarantees from the regional authorities.
