Sun International is not buying land in the southern gaming zome
Sun International, a South African corporation, had not started negotiations about buying property in Rostov and Krasnodar regions, where Russian authorities are planning to set up a gaming zone, as the “Vzglyad” newspaper was reported by the corporation press service, referring to Neil Murphy, Sun International`s Development Manager.
Mr Murphy specified that he had had meetings with representatives of Russian regional administrations because they had invited him to share experience.
Previously it was informed that Sun International was ready to submit an application for long-term lease of 2 thousand hectares of land in the South Russian gaming zone. The “Vedomosti” newspaper referred to Olga Andreeva, the director of the state authority “Krasnodar Region Economic Development Agency”: according to her, Sun International “might bedome a developer of the “gaming ghetto”. However, the latest information shows that the rumour on South African investments in the gaming zone has turned out to be “somewhat exaggerated”.
