Starting from 2008 gaming business in the Moscow region will be allowed only in special zones
According to governor of the Moscow Region, Boris Gromov, starting from 2008 gaming business will be located only in specially designated zones. These zones will be defined in the nearest future. The governor stated that by beginning of the current year 1100 slot halls and 10 casinos functioned in the region. “We took measures and reduced number of slot halls to 720 and number of casinos to 3 on the territory of the Moscow region” – Gromov reported. According to him, 70-80% of gaming facilities will be closed starting from April 1. Also governor reminded about restricted rules regarding location of gaming establishments. Administrative fine for violation of these requirements will amount to 5,000 rubles for physical entities, and 100,000 rubles for legal entities
