Joint government committee to control gaming business in Primorski Region
A special joint committee will be organized to impose order in the gaming business of Primorski Krai. It was decided to create such committee at the meeting of the region administration, which was devoted to preventive measures to restrain violations in the gaming sphere.
Representatives of federal and regional executive authorities as well as gaming business associations of Primorski Krai took part in the meeting.
Vice Governor of the region, Andrey Norin, who presided at the meeting, stated: “All government authorities have to coordinate their actions to effectively control gaming business. We should do everything to protect youth and children from gambling, we should stop illegal activity of non-registered slot halls. Joint committee efforts will be aimed at these priorities.”
Experts believe, joint committee will allow maximum control of gaming facilities activity, including legality of slot machines` installation and usage, which will significantly limit access of minors to gambling.
Committee will be created under the aegis of licensing and consumer market regulation department, which is part of region administration. Representatives of control and supervisory structures will be included in the committee. A plan of measures, aimed at prevention of violations in the gaming business, to be developed in the near future.
