Gaming Business Regulation Committee set up in Amur region
Valentina Kalita, acting as Governor of Amur region, signed a decree on setting up the Gaming Business Regulation Committee within the territory of Amur region. The Committee is headed by Vice-Governor of the region – Alexey Gordeev, Head of Economic Development and External Links Department.
As RIA Prima-Media was informed by the Governor`s press representative, the Committee is a collective authority coordinating the supervisory bodies of the local authorities on gaming business regulation within the territory of Amur region, as well as reinforcing control in this area. In its activities, the Committee will be guided by the legislation of the RF and Amur region, and by the approved Regulations.
The major tasks of the Committee include solving issues which require coordination and consentient actions of the state and local authorities and supervisory bodies on gaming business regulation. The Committee will develop measures to avoid and eliminate violations in the gaming business area.
The main function of the Committee is interaction with the territory representatives of the federal state authorities in Amur region, state authorities of the RF constituent territories, local authorities of the regional municipalities, various organizations related to gaming business, as well as consideration and approval od the proposals concerning gaming business in Amur region.
According to the set procedure, the Committee, together with the authorized bodies, will control the operations of gambling facilities as far as it concerns compliance with the current legislation.
“Should there be certain grounds, the Committee will make petitions to the authorized bodies on suspending or terminating operations of gambling facilities within the territory of Amur region”, states the document.
