There will be no slot machines in Omsk region from July 1st, 2007
Slot machines will be banned in Omsk region from July 1st, 2007. The corresponding law has been passed by deputies of Omsk regional Legislative Assembly today.
“All slot halls will be closed from July 1st, says Tatiana Spiridonova, Deputy Minister of Economics of Omsk region. Only casinos will be left, and only those which comply with all the requirements of the federal legislation”.
Slot machines constitute 87 per cent of the regional gaming market. Casinos constituting 13 per sent will go on their operations till July 1st, 2009, until the law on gaming zones comes into effect.
“The slot machine ban will result in tax revenue reduction for about 144mln rubles, which is 0.5 per cent of the regional budget”, informs Tatiana Spiridonova.
