No more than 30 slot halls will be banned in Yaroslavl region
Eight deputies of Yaroslavl Regional Duma presented the law “On banning activities involved in gambling organization and arrangement in slot halls within the territory of Yaroslavl region” as a legislation initiative.
IA REGNUM reports that as soon as in February Yaroslavl Regional Duma will consider the legislation which implies the complete liquidation of slot halls in the region till July 1st, 2007.
On February 13th the conciliatory committee formed for developing this legislation, which includes the Regional Duma deputies and the city administration representatives, decided to recommend to the Legislative Assembly to consider the law in this very version, a tough one.
"The proposed measures will lead to additional reduction of the number of slot machines (regarding the reduction provided by the strict requirements and restrictions of the Federal Law). According to experts` estimations, as a result of the Federal Law application there will be about 30 slot halls left in the territory of Yaroslavl region from July 1st, 2007. Given that no less than 50 slot machines shall be installed in each of the halls, the additional reduction may be for about 1.5 thousand”, the IA REGNUM correspondent was explained by Petr Gubochkin, a deputy.
It will result in reducing regional budget revenues from gaming business taxes. Given that the tax rate is 7.5 thousand rubles per slot machine and that the additional reduction is for about 1.5 items, the amount of regional budget losses in the second half of the year 2007 may be 67.5mln rubles.
