Let us remind you that the issue of placing gaming locations outside Nefteyougansk was considered at the July’s session of the City Duma. It did not avoid debates that time. Deputies’ debates were stopped by the head of Nefteyougansk, Sergei Burov. “Gaming business has the right to exist but we have to follow the regional law which prohibits placing such facilities in residential areas”, summarized the mayor.
By February 1s7, 2007, all gambling business owners must have been relocated away from the city. One third of Nefteyougansk slot locations have already terminated their operations. But according to the data of Consumer Market and Consumers’ Rights Protection Committee, from 39 previously registered gaming facilities 26 are still operating. Besides, independent slot machines located in public places are still unaccounted.
