A candidate for one of the four gaming zones is specified in Shcherbinovski district of Krasnodar region
A candidate for one of the four Russian gaming zones has been preliminary specified in Shcherbinovski district of Krasnodar region. “Here, on the borderline of Krasnodar and Rostov regions, there must be a federal gaming zone,” an ITAR TASS reporter has been informed today in the local administration.
An administration representative said that “the future zone will be located on the waste land between the settlements of Molchanovka /Krasnodar region/ and Port-Caton /Rostov region/ on the coast of the Azov Sea”. On the one side, there are waters of the Eyski firth, on the other – of the Taganrogski Bay. The largest city nearby is Eysk, where a modern airport will appear in the nearest future.
According to Vice-Governor Evgeniy Muraviev responsible for the tourism in Krasnodar regional administration, “setting up a gaming zone will give a push to developing natural resorts”. “Soon hotels and restaurants will grow in this waste land,” he said and emphasized that “As far as Krasnodar region is concerned, it is ready to invest funds in the project under self-financing conditions.”
Within Krasnodar region, there are 14 644 registered gaming business objects, almost 99% of which are slot machines. From the beginning of this year this business has already paid 911 mln rubles of taxes – 184 mln more than for all the year 2005.
