The State Duma adopted the law on state regulation of gaming business
At its plenary session on Wednesday the State Duma in the third reading adopted the law “On state regulation of activities involved in gambling organization and arrangement” providing the legal grounds of gaming business regulation.
The law will not be applied to activities of exchanges.
The law implies setting up gaming zones in the territories of Altay, Primorie and Kaliningrad regions and in the borderline territory of Rostov and Krasnodar regions. The document contains the prohibition against setting up gaming zones in residential areas, towns and cities. The RF constituent territories will be entitled to independently decide on closing gambling facilities in their areas.
