Gaming Business Association asks everybody concerned with maintaining of civilized gaming business in Russia for cooperation

In Saratov, leasing land for gaming business purposes will cost hundredfold

The City Duma of Saratov set basic rates for rent and terms for rent payment for land plots in Saratov for the year 2007, in compliance with the RF Land Code and the Charter of Saratov, they informed “Rosbalt” in the City Duma press service.

Pursuant to this decision, basic land rent rates will be increased. The city is divided into 13 territorial rating areas the amount of rates in which very from 14.5 to 55 rubles per square metre.

The largest – hundredfold – basic rent rates are set for land plots allotted for placing gambling facilities.

A ten-fold basic rent rate is set for land plots where filling stations are located.

A three-fold basic rent rate is set for land plots allotted for placing trading and catering facilities, public services and car service stations.

A two-fold basic rent rates is set for land plots allotted for placing administrative, management and social facilities and enterprises, organizations, credit facilities, which are not financed from the budget.

A one-fold basic rent rate is applied to calculate rent for land plots for housing construction (except individual housing construction).

According to Leonid Pisnov, Head of Industrial, Construction and Municipal Policy Committee of Saratov regional Duma, the problem of land relationships in Saratov lies in the fact that ownership rights for the land taken by enterprises and organizations stay unregistered. Thus, these lands are excluded from the taxation system – no property tax is paid. Increasing land cost will motivate business entities to register ownership rights.
