The Opening of Storm International’s X.O. Casino in Bishkek
The press conference devoted to the opening of X.O.-Bishkek Casino was held in Hyatt Regency Hotel Bishkek, where the new facility is located. Storm International’s CEO Darren Keane, general manager of X.O. Bishkek Helen Keane, and Storm International’s press representative Lavrentiy Gubin took part in the press conference.
Storm International’s plans of development in the region were announced at the event, as well as Storm International’s management principles, significantly distinguishable, as compared to the basic mass of operators, in terms of quality of the services provided and social responsibility of the business.
Darren Keane said that Storm International had been planning expansion into Kyrgyzstan but the implementation of those plans, as fast as it was, became possible only on establishing partnership relations with the global hotel chain Hyatt.
“We take partnership with Hyatt as a wonderful opportunity to employ our capabilities,” said Darren Keane. “We have always been targeted at VIP customers, our standards of service and operations are on the highest level, and we believe the partnership will be beneficial for all the parties.”
Helen Keane talked about the distinctive features of the new casino: expensive and stylish “art deco” interior”, unique online slot system (a development by Storm International), high quality gaming equipment from leading manufacturers, international management team. Helen Keane also noted that the casino would provide 150 jobs – it is planned to train and develop the local staff, up to management positions.
Lavrentiy Gubin said that X.O. Bishkek Casino, as well as other Storm International’s properties, would work within the framework of Responsible Gaming Program developed by the company some years ago. The program, first of all, provides for creating the players’ awareness of the rules of adequate attitude to gambling and of signs of compulsive gambling.
A casino with the identical name “X.O.”, which had existed in Bishkek before and managed by another operator, was also mentioned at the press conference. “Our brands, Shangri La and X.O., have been there for over ten years, and we have got used that they are trying to copy us all the time,” said Darren Keane. “However, be sure that there is only one X.O. Casino in Bishkek now.”
