- The Federal Law bound the Russian gaming business to get concentrated in four zones as of July 1st, 2009. Meanwhile there is not as much as the Government`s decision with regards to the one to be situated in the Far East. - Throughout the year 15 investors leased the total of a bit more than 60 hectares of 2000 available in Azov City. And only one – Royal Time – started construction on one of 30 land plots, as reported at the end of the previous week by the Vice Governor of Krasnodar Region Evgeniy Muraviev at the meeting with the investors.

- Under the conditions of the financial crisis, Sverdlovsk deputies are ready to allow operations of national gambling facilities for another two years. The proposal to submit a relevant bill to the State Duma was initiated by Andrey Alshevskikh, a CPRF deputy of the regional Duma. In his opinion, it will enable the region to receive an additional amount of over1 billion rubles in the following year. Gaming business representatives support his initiative.

- Another of the 16 Rostov plots of the Azov-City gambling zone remained without investors. Formula-1 had earlier refused from the 1.5-hectare plot, and the term specified for concluding the investment agreement (no less than for 80 million rubles) and the lease agreement for 1.5 ha which Casinos Austria was going to manage, expired on September 30. It had already been postponed once. Documents were not signed within 15 working days after the tender (on July 29), and later the Minister of Economic Affairs of Rostov Region Vladimir Barteniev informed, that the parties agreed upon additional 30 days to prepare the documentation in two languages.
